I have been a Liberal Democrat Councillor for the London Borough of Sutton for 13 years in that time I have represented 2 wards. I am a governor for Spencer Childrens Centre and have been so for 13 years. I initially stood for council to help my fellow residents of St Helier to resolve any issues they may have. I have lived on the St Helier estate since 1977 and my 3 children attended Sutton schools, I now have grand children and great grand children that have or are attending schools in the borough. I had the honour of being Deputy Mayor 2010-2011 and I found this very interesting being given the opportunity to meet many people within the borough and taking part in activities and citizenship ceremonies. I continue to have a very active interest in health and well being and I work within the care setting supporting young adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours to live in the community.
