Ruth Dombey has been a councillor for Sutton North ward since 2002 and Deputy Leader of Sutton Council since 2006. Previously Ruth was a Regional Sales Manager for a large American multinational selling real time financial information to the money markets. Ruth's portfolio covers Community Engagement and Customer Service and she is also the lead councillor for the transformation programme that the Council is presently undertaking in order to save £30 million from its budget.
Ruth lives in her ward with her husband and son and has recently taken up cycling again so that she can get round the ward more easily and keep an eye on things. She enjoys cooking, reading and travelling - and is a great fan of Doctor Who.
