I have lived in Sutton South Ward for almost a quarter of a century, and am delighted to be able to serve my local community as a Councillor for this area. I was a member of the Labour Party who joined the SDP in the 80′s and thus the Liberal Democrats. Now retired, during a varied career in public service I chaired the Channel Tunnel Safety Authority and the Board of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, based in Bilbao. I like to think I have skills developed as an international civil servant that I now use for local people. Married to Gloria for over 40 years; two daughters who have long since left home.
