Councillor Adrian Davey, who was born at St Helier Hospital, attended The Avenue Primary School and then Stanley Park High School. He is married with twin daughters.
Adrian has worked in the health service for a number of years. He started in NHS finance and then moved into Change Management working within Sutton, Merton and North Surrey, leading for Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust on the National Service Framework for Older People.
He later joined the Strategic Health Authority for South West London leading on a national project to reform the Urgent Care Pathway for Older People and was also a National Lead for Older People. Having held a senior commissioning role in Sutton and Merton developing the local commissioning strategy for Mental Health Adrian is now an Operational Manager for Mental Health Services in South West London. His areas of special interest are Hospital Care for Older People and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.
Adrian was interested in politics from a very early age - at the age of 5 he wanted to be Prime Minister! He was elected as a councillor in Stonecot ward in 2010. Serving on the Children and Young Peoples Scrutiny committee, the Equality and Diversity committee, and the Development Control committee, Adrian is also Chair of Cheam North and Worcester Park Local Committee
His aim as an elected councillor is to represent the views of local people and to encourage them to be part of local decision making.
