Local campaigners Roger Roberts and Abigail Lock have joined forces with local MP Paul Burstow to launch a campaign to protect our local police numbers and keep our area one of the safest in London.

The Conservative Mayor of London's police cuts have already resulted in the borough losing four police sergeants across the borough including one in the Worcester Park area, with a further 330 posts due to be cut by 2015.
"The Conservatives need to stop these police cuts," said Roger. "Don't they realise that our area is one of the safest in London because of the great work done by local police teams?"
Commenting on the campaign, Abigail Lock said: "Boris Johnson should be cutting press officers, not police officers. He was elected back in 2008 on the back of his commitment not to forget outer London. These police cuts are just another example of how he has reneged on his commitment."
"We are calling on the Mayor to review his decision to cut local police officers and asking him to commit to no further cuts in local police numbers," said Paul Burstow. "We hope as many residents as possible will join our campaign to give it added strength."
