Sutton's Liberal Democrat Council is once again looking forward to this year's Take Part Take Pride festival with just over three weeks left for people to register their events and be included in the printed programme. The deadline for entry is 23 April to ensure inclusion in the literature.
This year's festival, which runs from Monday 12 - Sunday 18 July, will be the fifth year Sutton Council has helped residents to celebrate the borough and residents are encouraged to take part in any way they can.
Each year has seen a wide range of events from holding an open day, concert or sports event to showing people how to grow their own vegetables. Community groups can get free space in a marquee in Sutton High Street to promote their work.
Sutton's Liberal Democrat Leader, Sean Brennan said:
"This festival represents the very best of what Sutton is really about. As communities come together to have fun, get to know each other better, get active and improve our local areas, it shows the real success that the council and residents can have working together.
"I have always enjoyed being involved in Take Part Take Pride and really encourage even more residents to find out how you can too."
